Yes. Chiropractic adjustments are widely considered a safe, non-invasive treatment when performed by a licensed chiropractor. The most common side effect is mild soreness in the treated areas for a day or two afterwards. Think of it as a workout; when we start to get the bones of your spine moving again they can become sore, especially if they have not been moving well for a while! Before we start any care we always do a full evaulation and consultation to review your health history and make sure that chiropractic care is right for you. Not everyone is a candidate for every service we provide in our office, so we will adjust you based on what you need.

Adjustments do not typically hurt. Sometimes they can be uncomfortable, especially if you are in a lot of current pain. Most people get up from their first adjustment and say they already feel relief!
-
As long as you are putting stress on your spine, you will need to do something about it!
Chiropractic is a lifestyle choice. When patients see how great they feel after getting adjusted, they want to continue to stay healthy for life.
We are happy to be part of your health journey for as long as you allow us.

The number and frequency of adjustments vary from person to person. Most sense some progress within a week or two. As supporting muscles and ligaments heal, visits may become less frequent. Cases of long-term spinal neglect may require visits over many months or years.

Yes. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare. We are also happy to see patients who prefer to pay out of pocket, which most of our patients choose to do.
Our new patient visit is $95. A typical chiropractic treatment visit will range between $60-$100 depending on what Dr Combs recommends for your care. We will always go over all costs before we start treatment that way you are not blind-sided by any hidden bills.
If you have BCBS or Medicare we verify your benefits before we start care that way we can walk you through everything that your insurance covers. -

Yes. Sciatica is one of the most common conditions we treat in the office. Sciatica isn’t a great diagnosis itself. It is a symptom of something irritating or compressing the sciatic nerve, which is why identifying the underlying cause matters more than just getting rid of the pain.
That cause can be a disc issue or joint restriction in the low back. Sometimes it is muscular compression along the nerve’s path. Chiropractic care addresses these causes by restoring normal motion to the spine and pelvis. This alone can reduce pressure on the nerve and relieve the pain, numbness, or tingling that is radiating down the leg.
At your first visit we will do an exam and X-rays to find what is causing the sciatica symptoms and give you our best recommendations to get back to your happiest, healthiest self. If your X-rays and exam suggest you need something that we cannot provide, we will refer you to someone who can. -
Yes, and it is some of the most rewarding work we do. Many headaches, particularly tension headaches and cervicogenic headaches, originate in the neck rather than inside the head itself. Restricted joints, poor posture, and muscle tension in the cervical spine can refer pain up to the head, behind the eyes, forehead, and base of the skull.
Because the source is usually the neck, addressing it directly often produces the most meaningful relief for people that have tried managing the symptoms with medications. Patients with migraines also frequently report improvements, though migraines can have multiple contributing factors and respond differently from person to person.
During your exam, we will look at your cervical spine, posture, and headache patterns to determine whether the headache types you are experiencing is one that responds well to chiropractic care. Not every headache has a structural cause and if yours doesn’t, we will say so and point you toward someone that can help.
